Programme 2 of 5

Catalan Intensive Course

The designated visa pathway for native Spanish speakers. A Spanish course cannot be used as a visa basis when Spanish is already your native language — Catalan, as a genuinely new language, is fully valid. Being a Romance language, native Spanish speakers typically progress much faster than average.

Who is this for?

Recommended for native Spanish speakers or students with at least solid B1 Spanish — Spanish is the language of instruction in class.

Friday (3–4h): Cultural immersion — city routes and real-life practice

Work authorisation — important

A language-course student visa does NOT include automatic work authorisation. A separate Extranjería application (with a job contract or offer) is required to work legally. If work rights from day one are a priority, see the Grado Superior pathway.
