Affiliate Disclosure

Interlink Barcelona participates in affiliate marketing programs. This page explains what that means, how it works, and how it does not affect the information we publish.

What is affiliate marketing?

When we link to a product or service and you make a purchase or sign up through that link, we may receive a small commission from the company — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to the company's website.

This is called affiliate marketing. It is a common and transparent way for independent content publishers to earn revenue while keeping their content free to readers.

Which partners do we work with?

We work with affiliate programs in the following categories, primarily through networks like Awin, Commission Junction (CJ), and Impact.com, as well as direct partner programs:

  • Banking & fintech: Wise, Revolut, N26
  • Health insurance: World Nomads, SafetyWing, Cigna
  • Student & mid-term accommodation: HousingAnywhere, Spotahome, Uniplaces, Booking.com
  • SIM cards & eSIM: Holafly, Airalo
  • Language learning: Preply, iTalki, Babbel, Lingoda
  • Transport: Welcome Pickups, Omio
  • VPN services: NordVPN, Surfshark

We update this list as new partnerships are established. Not all products mentioned in our guides have affiliate arrangements — we write about tools we consider genuinely useful regardless of whether we earn anything from them.

How we identify affiliate links

Guides and articles that contain affiliate links show this notice near the top:

"Some links in this guide are affiliate links — we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you."

Affiliate links on this site route through interlink-agency.com/go/[partner] before redirecting to the partner's website. This allows us to track clicks for reporting purposes.

Our editorial independence

Partner agreements do not influence our editorial opinions. We only recommend products and services we genuinely believe are useful to students and immigrants navigating life in Spain. Our assessments are based on:

  • Our own experience and research
  • Feedback from students and clients we have worked with
  • Publicly available information about products, fees, and policies

If a partner's product no longer serves our readers well, we remove or update the recommendation — regardless of any commercial arrangement.

We do not accept payment for editorial placements. Partners cannot pay for a positive review or for guaranteed inclusion in our guides.

Lead referrals to partner services

In some cases, visitors who need specialist legal help (for example, complex visa situations or appeals) may be connected with verified immigration law firms or gestorías in Barcelona. This happens only when:

  • You have explicitly indicated that you need legal assistance beyond general guidance
  • You have given explicit written consent to have your contact details shared with a specific partner firm

We may receive a referral fee from partner firms for qualified introductions. Any data sharing is governed by our Privacy Policy and a Data Processing Agreement with the partner firm.
